Rockingham County administrative offices are located at 119 North Road, Brentwood NH 03833; phone: 603-679-9350.

Rockingham is the only New Hampshire County to have a border on the Atlantic Ocean, albeit, only 17-miles long.

The county was incorporated March 19, 1771 and named by Governor Benning Wentworth in honor of Charles Watson Wentworth, Marquis of Rockingham.
