The Fannin County Courthouse is located at 101 East Sam Rayburn Drive, Bonham, TX 75418; phone: 903-583-7486.

Founded in 1837, the county is named for James Fannin [1804-1836] a Colonel who served in the Texas Revolution. After the Battle of Goliad, Fannin and his men were executed by Santa Ana.
