Grays Ferry is approximately described by the following boundaries: southeast corner, S 25th and Morris Streets; northeast corner, S 25th St and Washington Avenue; east of the Schuylkill Expressway from Morris Street to Grays Ferry Avenue; also, the residential blocks west of the Schuylkill to the river, comprising S. 35th, S Harmony, S Grove, Wharton St, Sears St, Earp St, and Reed St.

Within the neighborhood are found Lanier Park and Morris Playground. Grays Ferry Shopping Center is on the north side of Grays Ferry Avenue at 30th Street.
