The subdivision was built circa 1953 by William Levitt. Interior living space ranges from approximately 1,000 to more than 2,000 sq. ft. with a median of approximately 1,150 sq. ft. Median lot size is approximately 0.17 acres. Access to the Birch Valley neighrborhood is from Penn Valley Drive onto Birch Drive, from Magnolia Hill (Birch Dr to Magnolia Drive via Magnolia Park Lane) and from North Park (Northpark Drive onto Bald Cypress Lane via Bypass Rd.)
