Kirklyn is a residential neighborhood of twin townhomes, row homes, and detached singles built primarily from 1900 through the 1950s. Median age is circa 1945. The triangular-shaped neighborhood is roughly bounded by East Township Line Road (US Route 1), West Chester Pike (Route 3) and North Lynn Boulevard. On eastern side of North Lynn is the privately-owned McCall Golf and Country Club. The Parkview station of he SEPTA Route 100 Norristown Light Rail passenger line is located in the Highland Park Neighborhood, just east of Kirklyn.

Interior living space ranges from approximately 1,000 to more than 2,300 sqft. with a median of approximately 1,500 sqft. Lot sizes range from about one-twentieth to one-quarter of an acre with a median of approximately one-tenth of an acre.
