Canal Park is an 11.9-acre site located at 2520 River Road (Route 32) adjacent to the New Hope / Lambertville Toll Bridge and the Delaware Canal. The parcel is directly across from Magill’s Hill Park, and part of the property lies within rights-of-way for the PECO high- tension electric line and the Spectra Energy gas pipeline. The access entrance from River Road into Canal Park was constructed in 1999.

A grant from the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC), funded improvements and connecting trails. Construction was completed in October 2009 and the facility officially opened in the spring of 2010.

Canal Park has one full size multi-purpose playing field used primarily for soccer, a large practice field area, open and wooded areas for passive recreation, walking trails, and the Malcolm P. Crooks pedestrian footbridge which crosses over the Delaware Canal and connects to the Delaware Canal State Park and 60-mile Towpath.
