Scotchtown

Wallkill Town, Orange County, NY

This historic village undoubtedly took its name from the nationality of the early settlers: McVey, McWhorter, McInnis, McLaughlin and McCord, among others. A store was opened here in 1803 by Robert Steritt. John Brown was the first postmaster. [1]
