Oconee County Neighborhoods

The Oconee County Courthouse is located at 23 Main Street, Watkinsville, GA 30677; phone: 706-769-3940.

Athens became the seat of Clarke County in 1871, replacing Watkinsville as the seat for the county. Oconee county was established in 1875 from part of Clarke County and Watkinsville was once again a county seat of government.
