Centre Square

School District: Wissahickon

Centre Square (on contemporary maps usually spelled 'Center Square') was a 19th Century village located in the vicinity of what is now the intersection of Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 202 (DeKalb Pike). Little remains save an occasional 18th and 19th century historic home, as well as a shopping center, fire house and subdivision commemorating the name. The Centre Square Academy survives as a small private school of less than 100 students grades 1-8.

Street Names: DeKalb Pike, Skippack Pike
