Painters Crossing is a condominium development built circa 1975-1976. Interior living space ranges from approximately 700-1,400 sq. ft. with a median of approximately 1,000 sq. ft. The name of the development likely derives from the intersection of Routes 1 and 202 which was known as Painters Cross Roads. Nearby was the Painter Homestead. Samuel Painter purchased a large tract of land in 1707. As the family grew, houses were added on the property. Painter family descendants occupied the land through the early 20th century. Entry into the development is from US Route 1 (Baltimore Pike, northbound) onto Painters Crossing. School District: Unionville-Chadds Ford Street Names: Painters Crossing |
