Byers


BYERS [1] A village with a dozen frame houses and two flour mills in Upper Uwchlan Township, was named for Charles E. Byers, chief engineer of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad who in 1871 built the terminus of the Pickering Valley Branch here. He died during its construction.
