Thornbury is a residential neighborhood of detached, single family homes built primarily during the 19302, 1940s and 1950s. Interior living space ranges from about 900 to 3,000 sq. ft. with a median of approximately 1,400 sq. ft. A typical home is 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. Some homes have basements and/or garages.

A few of the homes date from the late 19th and early 20th century.

The neighborhood is located south of Lincoln Highway (Route 30) between Embreeville Road and Marshallton-Thorndale Road.
