Riverdale

Riverdale is a single family subdivision of approximately 70 residences which were built in the late 1960s by Best Homes of Center Square, PA. Contiguous development into the early 1970s found the development becoming commonly known as Park Town Estates.

Original models were 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 2-car garage. The Merion is a rancher, others are 2-story colonials.

Entry to the original development is from River Road onto Richard Road. Floorplans and streetnames identified here are from the 1960s Riverdale builder brochure.

The original brochure claims a 33-acre park which apparently never materialized. However, within the extended neighborhood there is walking access to the Delaware Canal towpath, a 60-mile linear "park" and National Register historic resource.
