The Midwick Tract [1] neighborhood was originally part of Midwick Country Club, which included a polo field, golf course, and tennis courts. The club was sold in 1944 and many of the current homes were built in phases during the late 1940s and 1950s.

In contrast to most Alhambra single-family neighborhoods, the homes in this neighborhood tend to have similar architecture style, which is based on the Ranch style, with Colonial Revival and Modern elements.
