Essex Center


In 1893 Essex Center village contained a post office, 4 churches, the Essex Classical Institute, a district school, 2 stores, 1 hotel, a blacksmith shop, a wagon shop, a dressmaker shop and millinery store and about 150 inhabitants. [1]
