The former Matthew Fontaine Maury School (National Register of Historic Places) has been converted through adaptive reuse as private, apartment-style condominium residences. Adaptive reuse project 2006/2007. School was built ca. 1920. Individual residential units are 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms (some units have loft bedroom) 1, 1 1/2 and 2 baths. Living space ranges from approximately 900 to more than 2,100 sq. ft. Approximately 6 blocks to Fredericksburg VRE station   scheduled trains to Union Station, Washington D.C. 1-plus to 1 1/2 hours depending on the time/schedule.
