The Montgomery County Courts Center is located at 2 Millennium Plaza, Clarksville TN 37040; phone: 931-648-5703.

The County when formed was part of North Carolina and named Tennessee County. When Tennessee was admitted into the Union in 1796, the name was changed to Montgomery. It is named for John Montgomery [1750-1794] who founded Clarksville, the county seat.
