As denoted by the Philadelphia City Planning Commission, "Francisville" is an area to the southeast of Girard College, bordered by Fairmount Ave, Corinthian Ave, Girard Ave, and Broad St. Francisville is anchored by Girard College, Saint Josephs Prep School, and Saint Josephs Hospital.

Also known as Vineyard in 1808. South of Poplar Street and Ridge Avenue, where streets run perpendicular to Ridge. (Vineyard, Wylie, Francis, Erdman, Bowers, Leland, Ginnodo, Field, Shirley)
