Spring Mountain

Spring Mountain is an elevation just over 500 ft., located along the Perkiomen Trail in Upper Salford Township. A commercial recreational business offers winter skiing, and summertime "canopy rides." Montgomery County owns various parcels in the area which have been designated as "open space."

Demographically, the U.S. Census Bureau considered Spring Mount a Census Designated Place (CDP) in 2000, and report a population of just of 2,200.

While claiming a 500-ft elevation a "mountain" may be quite a stretch to some, the name nevertheless has significant roots in the area as evidenced from the nearby historic village of Spring Mount, and the mountain reference in the names of surrounding roads and neighborhoods.
