Horseshoe Pond

Horseshoe Pond is a curious community of houseboats accessed from Misery Bay (see Presque Isle. We haven't found out who owns the boats. An attendant manning the Bicentennial Tower told us they are privately owned, despite being located in a State Park, and their use and occupancy are extended through some "grandfathering" arrangement. Beyond that, he did not know anything more specific.

The shores of the bay and "pond" appear to be popular fishing spots.
