Newtown Heights is a residential neighborhood of detached, single family homes built primarily from the late 1940s through the early 1960s; the neighborhood does contain scattered homes built from the 60s through 2007. Median age is ca. 1957. Median interior living space is approximately 1,500 sq. ft. Lot sizes range from one-tenth to one acre with a median of approximately one-fifth of an acre. Entry into the neighborhood is from West Chester Pike eastbound (Route 3) onto College Avenue or Bishop Hollow Road onto Ellis Avenue.
