From the names of the streets, this subdivision was clearly named in honor of the famous 4-star New York City restaurant, Lutece, and its equally renowned owner/chef, Andre Soltner. The subdivision was built about the time Soltner sold the restaurant (1991). The restaurant closed for good in 2004, after 40 years of celebrity.

Typical homes are 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths with 2-3 car attached garages. Median lot size is approximately 1 acre. Median interior living space is approximately 3,300 sqft.

Access to the La Reserve neighborhood is from West Doe Run Road onto Merrimac Lane.
