Ivywood is a subdivision of detached, single family homes built primarily during the 1960s. Median age is ca. 1966. Median lot size is approximately one-quarter of an acre. Typical homes are 3-4 bedrooms, 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 baths. Most (not all) have basements and attached garages (1 or 2 car).

The Ivywood neighborhood is generally bounded by Fork Landing Road, Church Road and Branch Pike. Entry into the neighborhood is from Church Road or Branch Pike onto Pamona Road.
