Arborlea Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar or 2 T. Splenda
- 1 T. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Double crust pie pastry
- Sprinkles of water and granulated sugar for top crust
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar (or Splenda), cornstarch, and cinnamon.
- Add thinly sliced apples and toss to coat the apples.
- Place apples in pastry shell (they will be piled high) and cover with second pastry.
- Crimp top and bottom crust edges to seal the pie; make several slits with knife on top.
- Lightly moisten top crust with water and sprinkle a small amount of sugar all over the top.
- Bake at 400 degrees approximately 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
