Laceyville, the twin of Skinners Eddy, has a gristmill and a lumbermill. On Main Street is the so-called "1790 House," a story-and-a-half log cabin built by Ebenezer Skinner. Held together with wooden pegs, it is now weatherboarded and has never known a coat of paint.
