Westfall Township

Westfall Township municipal offices are located at 102 La Barr Lane at the Delaware River, Matamoras PA 18336; phone: 570-491-4065.

In June of 2009, the township filed for bankruptcy resulting from a $20-million judgement against Westfall, in favor of Katz Developers involving land and development rights.

The Delaware River forms a part of Westfall Township's municipal boundary. Here the Upper Delaware River Corridor is part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Though the area is subject to a Federal Legislative planning process, most of the land is privately owned. The federal legislation was intended to encourage landowner stewardship activities and protective municipal ordinances.
