North Lebanon Township Town Hall is located at 725 Kimmerlings Road, Lebanon PA 17046; phone: 717-273-7132.

The area was first settled by German immigrants (Pennsylvania Dutch) around 1766. The township was incorporated in 1840.

The Union Canal Tunnel (passing under Tunnel Hill Road) is a National Historic Landmark. Also known as "Old Tunnel" and "Old Canal Tunnel," it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
