Borough offices are located on North Pine Street; phone: 717-362-9417. Settled around 1819, Berrysburg was incorporated as a borough in 1869. The borough is home to the Romberger-Stover House, (ca. 1887 Queen Anne style residence, listed on the National Register of Historic places (1980). Polk's 1882 Gazetteer
BERRYSBURGH. This borough of 480 inhabitants is situated in Mifflin township, Dauphin county, 38 miles north of Harrisburg. Elizabethtown, 31 miles south, on Summit Br. R. R, or Millersburg, 102 miles southwest, at junction of (Susquehanna Div.) N. C. and Summit Br. R. R's., are the shipping depots, and with which it has daily stage connection. J. B Enders, postmaster.
