Blooming Valley Borough

Blooming Valley is situated along State Road and was organized as a borough in 1867. In 1874 it contained one hotel, five stores, a wagon shop, two blacksmith shops, a bowl factory, copper shop, marble shop, planing mill and about 45 dwellings. The population in 1870 was 209. [1]
