Maywood Park City

A former residential enclave within Portland City, Maywood Park was incorporated as a city in 1967. The voters were attempting, unsuccessfully, to halt the construction of I-205. The residential subdivision was originally developed by E. F. Taylor. According to wikipedia [en.wikipedia.org, accessed Aug. 2012] the name comes from a comment made by Mr. Taylor about how attractive the area's woods were in May.
