Broadalbin was formed from Caughnawaga. March 12, 1793. It is the central town on the eastern border of the county. Chuctenunda Creek flows through the southeast corner. Fondas Bush, on Fondas Creek, near the western line, was incorporated April 17, 1815 as "Rawsonville." By 1860, Broadlabin contained 5 churches.
