Wall Township

Created in 1851 from Howell Township, Wall is named for Garret Dorset Wall (1783-1850) who served as a U.S. Senator from 1835 to 1841. Robert Laird, MD served as Walls' first mayor and the first Superintendent of Schools. The town's first committeemen were Samuel Allen, James Allgor, and Benjamin Pearce.
